Technical Seminar by HD Forum Italia at SatExpo Europe 2010 05/02/2010

Designing, installing and configuring High Definition in the user's premises  has been the topic of a Technical Seminar organised by HD Forum Italia on February  5 at SatExpo Europe 2010, Nuova Fiera di Roma fairgrounds, in two sessions:

• Morning session devoted to Antenna and signal distribution system installations
  
• Afternoon session devoted to Decoders, tv sets and home video 

The works have been opened and chaired by Cristiano Benzi, President of HD Forum Italia. Vittorio Arrigoni (IDS Multimedia) has dealt with the techniques for digital representation and compression of base-band video signal that are currently of most relevance (MPEG-2 e MPEG-4). Antenna and signal distributions systems, particularly, multiswitch, have been presented by Luigino Righetto (Fracarro). Decoders have been the topics presented by Roberto Mestriner (Telsey). TV sets and home video equipment have been explained by Rolando Palumbo (Sony).
